Have you heard about the Children’s Ministry at GCF Hays? On Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, our Nursery is available for children 5 yrs old and under. At the 11Am service on Sunday mornings, we offer Sunday School for children from 6 yrs old to 6th grade. On Wednesday nights, we have Kingdom Kids for the same-aged children while the parents are at Life Group.
We are a generational church at GCF Hays. Thus, our Children’s Ministry is very important to us because we are training future leaders in the Kingdom of God. Leaders from nations around the world have come to study our model, so they can implement it in their network of churches back in their countries. The Westminster Catechism states, “The chief aim of man is to glorify God, and enjoy him forever.”
We couldn’t agree more, and these two truths are foundational to the children’s ministry. We seek to develop the spiritual senses of our children so that they can enjoy the depth and quality of relationship with God that Jesus went to the cross to obtain for us. Out of this intimate relationship with the Lord, we seek to develop both godly character and spiritual giftings, which bring glory to God. We serve a generational God – “I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob” – and so we are a generational church. We believe that “…out of the mouths of infants and babes you have ordained praise…” Our children are our future, and that is why we place a priority on their generation.
Lindsey Allen
NURSERY DIRECTOR
Lindsey currently serves as our Nursery Director at GCF Hays. She grew up in Spring, TX, a suburb of Houston, and graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. She started her career in the telecommunications field where she met her husband, Kevin Allen, through some mutual friends.
Kevin and Lindsey now have two beautiful children as well as a golden-doodle dog. After having children, she transitioned from her career to becoming a full-time stay-at-home mother. This has allowed her to better support Kevin’s career in the elevator trade, partner in the education of their two children who attend a Christian Homeschooling Co-Op, and have their household run smoothly.
Lindsey and Kevin joined the family of GCF Hays in 2021. In their previous church, Lindsey served in the nursery. Lindsey is very passionate about providing a good foundation of biblical knowledge for the youngest children at GCF Hays.
When Lindsey isn’t at church, life group, or planning a nursery lesson, you would find her spending time with her friends & family, helping her kids with school, taking her kids to their activities, cooking for her family, or caring for her home. During her free time, Lindsey enjoys doing machine embroidery, arts & crafts, watching movies, and reading.

Christina Sheely
KINGDOM KIDS LEADER
Christina currently serves as our Kingdom Kids ministry. She enjoys teaching children about glorifying God in their lives.
Christina graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and began her surgical practice. Christina and her blended family joined Grace in 2016. She has served in various activities within the church.
Outside of church, she can be found working out, enjoying spending time with her children, as well as working on her ranch.
